Theaterwater brings theater, comedy, cabaret, and music to the courtyard and the shadow of the Ter Elst castle ruins in Duffel. This charming festival, with its strong focus on humor, was created in 2000 by Kristof De Wit and Bruno Sluyts from youth center Dendaak.In the years that followed, the festival continued to grow from within the youth center. When renovations on the castle ruins began, the festival moved to the nearby park. The last edition took place in 2017. After that, Theaterwater went on an eight-year pause...until 2026. Now, the castle ruins have been fully restored. The spotlights can shine again, and the first new edition of Theaterwater is about to become reality.
