Brakrock totally vibes with the spirit of the 90s! It was an era when grunge, punk rock, hip-hop, alternative rock, and drum 'n bass were all part of the same crew. Our home base was the old Youth House 'Den Daak' in Duffel, where we learned to create in a super fun and constructive way. Fun fact: our 'merch castle' in the 90s was the site of tons of epic mosh pits!
After a bunch of shows and projects like 'Theaterwater,' it was time for a fresh chapter in the history of Kasteel Terelst. Brakrock is bringing those good old times back with a new twist, and we’re all about having fun for many years to come!This year marks our twelfth time (punk)rocking out in the beautiful Terelst area with its stunning ancient castle ruins.
Get ready to enjoy awesome punk rock bands alongside local heroes, all in a chill and friendly atmosphere. Brakrock is basically a punk rock summer festival that’s low-key on the ecological impact. We’re all about the music, while ecofest promotes an open and positive vibe with a big focus on sustainability in every way possible."
